Admissions Policies

Prospective students must:

  • pass a drug test to show they have not been active substance abusers for a minimum of six months.
  • be able to read and compute math at the fifth grade level or higher
  • demonstrate a sincere commitment to beginning a food service career.

Health screening for tuberculosis and hepatitis are also required in the interest of safe food preperation and a healthy environment for both students and staff

Tuition Schedule and Fees

The program is free to Chicago residents who qualify and meet certain guidelines. For others, tuition is $7000 for the entire course of instruction (including uniform costs and all instructional materials). Payment may be made by cashiers check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.
